Install Veeam on the Windows 7 domain?

I've just Installed Windows 7 Pro 64bit on the VM and next step to install Veeam Backup & Replication.

Before I do Veam installation, should I let Windows 7 to join the domain network? I don't know would there be any issue with that.

Both methods are supported. An advantage of installing it on a server not being part of the domain is that if something goes wrong with AD you can always login. Then again it is a matter of favor.

Also be careful when using Microsoft Desktop licenses in virtual machines, there are different options that may or not become expensive, depending on the scenario.
