installing db to SQL server w/o Windows Integrated Auth
Ok,
Has anyone ever installed veeam using an MSSQL server that does NOT use Windows integrated authentication, just internal SQL accounts? I'm not seeing a way to do it and support hasn't been clear on their answer of "You would have to match the Veaem service account the the SQL server account."
?

Hello Jeff, SQL authentication is not supported, you need to use Windows integrated authentication to deploy Veeam B&R. Thanks!

If we are talking about SQL Express 2005, then 4GB database limitation is more than enough to use with any infrastructure.ssrjazz wrote:Well, then what's the maximums for using sql express then?
SQL Veeam database contains only configuration tables for your backup jobs and not the actual backup files, so it won't grow large. Here is existing topic talking about the limits of our database: VBR 4.1 New Install - database question (nevermind the title)

Not really, Veeam Monitor does support SQL authentication and stores all performance metrics and event gathered from your virtual environment in SQL Server database. So if you're a pretty large VMware shop then you definitely want to use existing/remote full blown SQL Server to deploy Monitor database to.
