Hello,
As most are aware, once you have restored a VM using Instant VM Recovery, it is no longer possible to back it up without changing the backup job, since the UUID of the VM has changed.
I am thinking here, if we restored using "Restore to original location", then Veeam can easily detect the new UUID and simply replace the old UUID in the database with the new UUID as a part of this process?
Thank you for your kind consideration.

Re: Instant VM Recovery (original location) backup issues
If you're overwriting original VM with newly-restored one, the old MorefID will be preserved. Otherwise, restore operation will require VM registration. Thus, new MorefID will be assigned, and re-adding VM will be needed.
