Insufficient Resources
Lately I have been getting this error when running backups with Veeam Backup and Replication 4.1. I thought it may depend on the time I ran the backups but it is intermittently happening whatever time I set the backup to run.
The error is:
Backing up file "[Servers] OPG-SR-002/OPG-SR-002_1-flat.vmdk"
BackupDisk failed
Client error: Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service
Failed to read data from the file [\\opg-sr-bkp\backup\Veeam\OPG-SR-002\OPG-SR-002 Backup.vbk].
Server error: End of file
There is over 500GB of disk space in the location. It retries the job 3 times and occassionally will succeed on the third attempt but usually fails on all retries.

Re: Insufficient Resources
Interesting. I had the same error today.
It worked in the third retry but was very slow. All other job were ok.

Re: Insufficient Resources
Yes, it's very intermittent. Some days it will affect one backup but not another. I ran 3 backups fine, then this one failed a couple of hours later 3 times.
It affects different backups as well.

Re: Insufficient Resources
I would try backing up to different storage to see if the issue is with it.

Re: Insufficient Resources
Hi, same problem here!
All went well until two days ago (I'm using Veeam Backup on a Windows Server 2003 and my virtual servers are all 2003 or 2008).
But yesterday evening some of my virtual servers produced this message:
BackupDiskSynt failed
Client error: Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service
Failed to read data from the file
Server error: End of file
What's up with this??
Thanks a lot!

Re: Insufficient Resources
Hello Jerome, thank you for using search and re-using the old thread, but have you managed to apply the instructions from Microsoft's KB mentioned in the previous post?
