Hi Graham, no, this NetApp product line is not supported. You can see the list of supported storages in the system requirements.

Re: Integration with Storage Snapshots : Vendor Roadmap
We need the ability to take VM snapshots in Veeam for VMs running our Pure storage arrays. This will allow us to substantially decrease our backup footprint. Does anyone know when that functionality will be available. Supposedly this has been in the works for along time, but yet no ETA?

Re: Integration with Storage Snapshots : Vendor Roadmap
Hi to all
We would like to integrate Veeam Backup & Replication and the Huawei Oceanstor 5300 V3 in Veeam to connect Storage Snapshot to Veeam.
Is there a schedule for when an integration of Huawei Storages is supported in the Veeam Software?
Best Regards Dirk

Re: Integration with Storage Snapshots : Vendor Roadmap
Guido,
Maybe not but it is valuable for us nonetheless. Working with a storage vendor (at least the way we do it and we are pretty unique in this) requires work from both sides. (And not only on the technical level) which means this is already a factor we should take into account. For example, storage vendor X might not be interested to work with us so that would be definitely already a showstopper .
But learning what the field is using is also interesting for us. For example, when storage vendor Y approaches us but we see no traction or requests around it, we might not want to spend time on that vendor and instead work with a vendor which is much more used with our customers.
Hope it makes a bit sense
Mike
(But +1''s will definitely not be the only reason to make a decision )

Re: Integration with Storage Snapshots : Vendor Roadmap
Fully agree Mike... what actually disturbs me more is that i come along companies sometime and when you ask why they are not using veeam sometimes you hear as one of the reasons "because they do not support our storage x blablabla", which is a shame, not true and of course just a misunderstanding. But as said just registering in the forum to vote and then not participating at all anymore is somewhat selfish... But yeah, that seems to be the way it is Cheers!

Re: Integration with Storage Snapshots : Vendor Roadmap
Ah.. why not just tell the truth. Veeam integrate with whatever storage provider agrees to pay the next marketing bill.
Cisco Hyper-flex is now stated for 9.5 update 2 however there are a total of 1100 customers and how many of them use Veeam? How did such a small product jump to the front of the line....
Compared to some of the larger providers that Veeam does not yet support who we know would love to support Veeam and have even supplied Veeam hardware to do so along with engineering time to help. Mine for example has continually told me that they have put significant effort into it and are being held back by Veeam progressing any further.
I get business and know how it works but this continual blaming the storage vendors is just lying and bad business.

Re: Integration with Storage Snapshots : Vendor Roadmap
Please note that our integration with Cisco HyperFlex is of a completely different type comparing to what is discussed in this thread, despite of the similar buzzwords in our marketing regarding this integration. This is why we are able to deliver this integration in an update in the first place.

Of course we value community members as yourself but one of the main reasons for this forums is feature requests. So it does make sense and I regularly recommend people to register on the forum to make feature requests in the hope they will stick around for the great discussions and the weekly mailer.Delo123 wrote:Fully agree Mike... what actually disturbs me more is that i come along companies sometime and when you ask why they are not using veeam sometimes you hear as one of the reasons "because they do not support our storage x blablabla", which is a shame, not true and of course just a misunderstanding. +1 for IBM Storwize
We have 3x v7000 and have recently expanded our Veeam footprint and this is a pain point.

Travis, IBM support is coming in v10 - we've announced this last year > https://www.veeam.com/executive-blog/ve ... cloud.html
In fact, it's one of the first v10 features which is code complete already
