Hi folks,
introduced by Intel the most recent Broadwill CPUs provide a sgnificant improvment by using AES encryption.
"Intel says it’s been able to speed up AES encryption, and ECDSA, RSA and DSA signing and verifying, in Broadwell by reducing PCLMULQDQ from seven cycles to five, and introducing new instructions useful in crypto algorithms."
Does anybody here has an information that Veeam encrypted backups will take advantage of this imporvment?
Thanks
Florian

Re: Intel Boardwell CPU encryption enhancements used by Veea
Yes, AES-256 encryption Veeam is using will be accelerated so you will see minimal impact from enabling backup encryption. Thanks!
