in backup repository we can use "Decompress backup data block before storing" option. I know this method compress data in source side and then transfer them to target in target will be extract backup and then deduplicate them finally the benefit of use this method is the backup will be use less space on disk but could not understand what is disadvantage of this method ?

Re: Is Decompress backup data block before storing always go
Hi Babak,
If storage dedup appliance provides better dedupliaction ration than VBR deduplication, it's recommended to enable the option. And vice versa.
Thanks!
