Issue: Can't add "Dell EMC Data Domain" as backup repository

Post by Yamato »

Hi Team,
I hope everyone on this form are fine. This is Yamato from Japan. I need your help for my home lab environment.

Now, I have one VBR [v10] as Enterprise License and one Dell EMC Data Domain virtual appliance to try DDBoost.
Last week, I have build brand new Data Domain VM on my ESXi environment and now I got following situation on VBR menu.

Could you advice me for this situation?

You need to create DDBoost Storage Units, if you want to add the datadomain in Veeam as a „data domain Repository“.

I see only two cifs shares. Veeam cannot see cifs shares as ddboost ready objects for using as an datadomain repo. Cifs shares are not ddboost storage units :)

1) create a ddboost Storage Unit on the datadomain
2) add the datadomain repo to veeam

You will see your ddboost storage units then.

Hi Mildur,
Thanks to your advise I could setup the VBR with DDbost! I misunderstood for the DD side settings.

Thank you so much.
