Issue with restore, showing Volume instead of drive
I just noticed that when I tried to open backups for one of our customers the restore window is showing "Volume1" instead of the drive letter(s), and nothing in there.
The backups have a normal size and all but for most VMs I am not seeing files, just for a few.
These are all vsphere VMs. Also, for those Vms that arer SQLs, I am able to see SQL databases in application items.

Re: Issue with restore, showing Volume instead of drive
Hi Dimitris
Do they have excluded the system drive with this backup job?
Best,
Fabian

Mildur,
No, nothing is excluded and we see no issues whatsoever with the jobs. A couple of VMs are mounting ok, most however are just showing Volume1 instead of C: drive.

Re: Issue with restore, showing Volume instead of drive
I also had situations, where only volume1,volume2 was visible. But only when I excluded the system disk (drive C) from the backup job.
If nothing is excluded from the job, please ask your customer to open a case with our customer support.
Don't forget to provide the case number with us here.
Best,
Fabian

Re: Issue with restore, showing Volume instead of drive
I think I found the issue, this customer had our Sysadmin team enable Bitlocker for their servers, so FLR is a no go apparently. I tried instant disk recovery too but it failed but I think it was due to config, will test again.

Re: Issue with restore, showing Volume instead of drive
Yep, it was an issue with enabling Bitlocker in the OS after all. No FLR but I tried Instant Disk recovery and after I applied the bitlocker key I was able to see everything.
Thanks for all the help all.
