Job History retention
Hello Veeam
As a compliance rule, need to keep our job history for a longer period than 53 weeks. 53 weeks is the maxiumum you can configure in Veeam and enterprise manager. Any ideas how I keep the logs for a longer period? I know you have "extended" loging and reporting features in veeam one.
We don't use veeam one and we have no plans to use it in the future, so this is not an option.
Is there a reason for that 35 weeks limit?
Thanks

Re: Job History retention
Hi Marcel,
Most likely the reason of this limitation is that an overwhelming majority of our customers do not need to store more than 1 year period and an excessive number of task sessions in database could negatively affect database performance in some cases.
You can select "Keep all sessions" if you do not want to delete sessions. One more option might be to increase the number of restore points for configuration backup as it contains backup sessions history as well. Also, could you please clarify what period do you need to store so that we can get a better idea of your use case?
Thanks!

Hi Petr
Oh man, I did not nee that "Keep all sessions" button...
This helps!
24 Months would be great - to meet the requirements of an ISAE 3402 Type 1or 2 audit
Thanks

Re: Job History retention
@PetrM it's strange we limit this in principle. And also at some arbitrary number. Could you please ask developers to remove the limit in V12?
