job status sorting bug

Post by Kazz »

Hi,

When sorting running jobs by status (VBR 12.1) I was getting a job with 3% completion in between two jobs, one with 79% and another with 83%. The only catch is the 3% job was a copy job to object storage and the other two were copy jobs to block storage SMB repo. I am unable to reproduce the problem since all of my jobs going to OS are just incrementals with a very quick completion time. The issue was observed during the initial seeding to OS (Wasabi).

Is anyone else able to reproduce the issue I am describing ?

Thanks

Hi Kazz,

I've been trying to reproduce this for most of the afternoon but I cannot. I had several jobs with different machines, one job pointing to Object Storage repository so it would be naturally slower than the others, but the sort held correctly the entire time on 12.1.1.56. That being said, this was in a lab environment so probably the lab isn't as busy as your production VBR so that might be why I couldn't reproduce.

If you catch it again, note the date and approximate time of the issue, and let's try to get a case open with debug logs from the VBR server (3rd radio option when following https://veeam.com/kb1832 and using Export Log Wizard).

Hi David,

Can you pull a screen shot from Case # 07173077?
Assuming you aren't using Wasabi with your testing, support could only test with AWS and they could not reproduce the issue.

Ah, thank you for sharing that. I have quite a few S3 providers in my lab and I tried to test with those but could not. Does this happen frequently or it's just the previous case and this thread?

As I was moving 100s of TB of backups to Wasabi it was happening all the time, changes get uploaded way too quickly on a 10Gb connection. Since you were not able to reproduce the issue, it could be only affecting Wasabi.

David,

07173077 got closed, see if any of the attachments on 07213196 will help you reproduce the issue in your lab?

Hi Kazz,

Let's allow the engineer some time to review the data; I see the requested information got added to the case, so allow the Support Team some time to review.
