Known Issue 19 is back

Post by gvinpin »

Just before raising another support call, I would like to ask, if anyone else has had the same issue.
My management console is freezing every 2 sec for no good reason, and it looked like it was fixed, after support asked me to apply a patch, but after 2 hours it is back.
Any similar experiences?
I have 136 jobs and 3 proxy servers, and 2 repositories.

136 Jobs ? is that for backup or replication ? how many are you launching at once and how much RAM have you got in the backup server ?

This server has 16GB of RAM and some 8 CPU's, but all jobs are running using a proxy, nothing using local resources.
At the moment only 2 jobs are are running. Plenty of free RAM and CPU's are not in use.
But console is freezing...
It could run 40 jobs at the same time on 3 proxies.
All jobs are backup

Hmm, the actual hotfix that Patch 3 brings was available for over a month now, and was applied by multiple customers who reported the issue resolved. So it's not like the fix did not get sufficient testing in the field. This is unexpected to say the least...

You said it "returned" in 2 hours - this actually points to some issues with the actual SQL server, or network connection to it (if it is remote server). Please check that, and if everything looks OK, open a support case.
