Large files in C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\Export_logs

Post by markhensler »

I have several files that are over 1 GB in "C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\Export_logs". It appears that the files in this directory do not rotate.

What can I do to control growth?

Hi Mark.

These are Support Logs Export process logs and should not grow if you don't export logs quite often.
Such logs are safe to be deleted manually, unless you want to investigate Support Logs Export issues :)

Noted possible rotation improvement as well.

/Thanks!

Hi Egor-

It sounds like, as long as I am not actively troubleshooting issues with exporting logs, it is safe to delete all files in this directory. Is that correct?

You can delete them immediately after logs for the support case are successfully exported. Those are not the exported Veeam B&R logs but logs of the log export process itself, so those are not needed for the case investigation. ;)
