Large number of fails since upgrade to Vshpere

Post by JorisK »

Hi,

We upgraded to VShpere 4 and VEEAM Backup 3.1, now we see a lot of VM's failing with the following:

1) Error:
Completing current object backup process VCB error: System error. Error: Failed to open the disk: Unspecifiederror An error occurred, cleaning up...

2) Error:
Analyzing object "Sxxxxxxxx" (vm-491), host "vcenter.asp.local" Failed to login to "vcenter.asp.local" by SOAP, port 443, user "ASP.local\VEEAMBackup", proxy srv: port:0 A general system error occurred: Authorize Exception

3) Error:
Retrieving file list VCB error: Error: System error.

What does this mean? In the beginning we had some multipath issues but i filtered out 3 of the 4 paths on my HBA, which made a lot of errors disappear but we still have a lot of failures.

Regards,
Joris

Hi Joris, have you upgraded VCB to the latest version that is compatible with vSphere? It would be best if you open support case for these issues, we always need full logs to investigate most issues.

Hi Gostev,

I reinstalled VCB 1.5U1 to make sure the proper version is installed but the result is still the same.
