When I am running AD Veeam Esplorer and try to compare I just got a The Ldap server is unavaiable.
The backup server is running on the hyper-v host isted (1 server compnay). The host server is in standalone workgroup.
I can fine restore by running the wizard "restore to" and point to a domain controller.
But the built-in code for compare seems to native point to the domain itself and not the choice to choose a domain controller, so I guess this is why it doesnt work?
I have edited the hosts file on the hyper-v host to point to the domain controller by the way.

Re: Ldap server unavaiable running compare outside domain
Frank, try to use domain DNS name in the hosts file, instead of the DC name.
