Note that if you use Hyper-V Native Quiescence or VMWare VMTools Quiescence, then Veeam does not need administrator credentials (or any credentials) inside the guest OS as the hypervisor will trigger VSS inside the VM through the integration services. However, you lose functionality with application-aware processing for SQL Server, Exchange, Active Directory, and Oracle. For other apps that Veeam does not have specific handling for, native quiescence is fine.
