I have a ticket open for this, but after a quicker answer:
I have 37 vms being backed up under Veeam. Veeam is reporting 50 vms are being backed up, but only 48 reported. This is causing two vms to fail to backup. Two questions:
1. Can I increase the count automatically to update this so I can backup these two VMs?
2. Where is it getting this count from; old jobs?

Re: Licensing under latest patch
1. No, you can only increase the licensed count by getting and installing a bigger license.
2. Every unique VM that had at least one restore point created in the past 30 days is counted towards the license consumption.

This kind of questions should be better addressed to a sales rep. As far as I can see from the case details, you should be contacted by someone from the responsible team.

Re: Licensing under latest patch
My two cents. Given the explanation provided by Anton, can you open your Backups node and see how many unique VM backups (created within last 30 days) you have there? Thanks.
