Folks,
It seems that the license key check/update does not work when the B&R server communicates via our proxy server. We have to let it bypass the proxy in order to connect to Veeam's licensing server. Is that by design and written in stone, or is there a way to get this to work through the proxy?
Kind regards,
PJ

Re: Licensing via proxy?
Hi PJ
Your Veeam server must be able to reach the following URL's over a proxy server, then it should work:
- vbr.butler.veeam.com
- autolk.veeam.com
Please also see our kb article on how to configure the proxy server:
https://www.veeam.com/kb3090
Best,
Fabian

Re: Licensing via proxy?
Folks,
To me it looks like the B&R Licensing Check/Update is ignoring the proxy settings, and is using a more direct approach, because we have made the proxy settings according to the KB article, and it works to surf on the Internet, but the Licensing Check/Update does not work unless we allow the B&R server to bypass the proxy. So unless there is a way to change how B&R behaves, for example with a registry key, then we will simply leave it as it is now, and allow direct access.
Kind regards,
PJ
