Limit of backed up VMs

Post by mickelingon » Mar 08, 2011 8:16 am

Hi

Is there a limit on how many VMs you can back up with one Veeam 5 installation?
We have about 300 VMs in our environment.

Hi, the only limiting factor is your backup window and RPO. For example, if your Windows is 8 hours and have 24 hours RPO, but incremental backup of 300 VMs takes 48 hours in your environment (determined by rate of VM disk changes and hardware), then you cannot really use a single server.

Totaly, I was just concerned about if there were any known problems with backing up a large amount of VMs.
I know there is a limit for connections againt VC.
