Linux FLR fails with "failed to set access time"

Post by mschlott »

When running a Linux file level restore, I am able to restore the file, but ownership and permissions are not set. The restore fails with the following error.

4/21/2016 7:24:31 AM Error Failed to restore "/tmp/keyring-bPs1kM" Error: (Guest) Function not implemented
Failed to set file access time.
Can't apply meta for file [/tmp/keyring-bPs1kM.RESTORED-20160421072430].

I get a similar error when I try to use copy to. I am using a non-root account with passwordless sudo privileges.

Which VBR version are you using? Did you contact support already? If so please link the case ID for future references.

I think I've seen this on some older Linux versions, like RHEL5. Any chance that's the case here?

I figured it out. I have not used business view in a couple of years so it took a while to figure it out.

How does Veeam One know if a machine has been backed up? I seem to be getting alarms for all of my vms. they have all been backed up in the last 12 hours.

Did you add the VBR server into Veeam One?

I just saw that. I'm removing my old backup server and adding the new one now.

Thanks

Would it be possible to get some detail on what you did to fix this Linux FLR restore issue? I'm experiencing the same issue and am having trouble finding the fix.

Thanks,

Tom
