Hi,
we currently have 4 pyhsical Windows proxy server with SAN access to the datastores, but for SOBR offloading to S3 we want to add some additional virtual proxies as these don't need SAN access. Our backup data is stored on CIFS shares. I know that with v10 a Linux proxy is now possible, is it also possible to use this proxy as repository gateway server?
According to these articles it should be possible, but I', not 100% sure if this also true for access to CIFS shares.

Re: Linux gateway for CIFS shares SOBR offloading?
Ah, yes. I mixed up gateway and repository server. Are there any plans for v11 to add this? I see a lot of new features for linux but I could not find anything about gw server.
