I've noticed the CPU usage hovering rather high even for idle on the Veeam server.
Checking the resources shows to be the local sql instance.
For fun I tried to stop the instance to see what would happen (yeah Veeam BR app didn't like that).
Why does the local SQL have such a high idle load?

Re: Local SQL resource Usage
Hello,
There are many possible reasons, maybe some background tasks query Veeam database extensively and it results in high CPU usage. You may try to check most expensive queries, it might help to understand what kind of activity represents a "hot spot".

Re: Local SQL resource Usage
This was more a general question. Will eventually try SQL resource hunting soon and will blog when time permits. Will also validate this usage compared to my home lab running CE
Thanks.
Thanks.
