Location of VeeamBackup EnterpriseManager Database

Post by schedlbauerm »

I want to perform an update from VeeamBackupEnterpriseManager 4.0 to 4.1.

During the update I'm asked which database-instance to use.

I'm not sure any more where my existing VeeamEnterpriseManager-Database is located. Does VeeamEnterpriseManager use the same database as VeeamBackup ?

How can I find out which database my current installation of VeeamEnterpriseManager 4.0 uses ?

Thanks !

Martin

Hello Martin,

Veeam Enterprise Manager has it's own database, which is called VeeamBackupEnterprise. Usually, this database is created with the initial installation of your Enterprise Manager application, as for the upgrade procedure, please state your computer name where local SQL Server is installed (in case you haven't used a remote one) as well as the manager's instance and database names - VEEAM\VeeamBackupEnterprise

Thank you!

Hello Vitaliy,

is it possible that the name of the database is VeeamBackupReporting and not VeeamBackupEnterprise ?

Thanks !

Martin,

Yes, you're right, it is called VeeamBackupReporting, my bad. I've mixed it up with a pre-release name
