I need to lock a backup to retain it as reference in case of issues.
Technically I need to change its retention from the one it got from the backup job to an indefinite expiration.
How can I do it ?
thanks
Stefano

Re: Lock a backup
Hi Stefano
You can‘t change retention of a existing restore point to forever. But there are some workarounds available:
You can export a backup if you need to retain a single restore point:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
Or with V12, copy the all backups of a VM and disable automatic deletion for the copied restore points.

You can also just copy all necessary restore points manually with Windows Explorer to a new location.
Best,
Fabian
