login down loose ends (question about Veeam proxy servers.

Post by johnthefinch13 »

Hello all and thank you for the help in advance.

I inharited the a task to lock down some vulnerabilites on our network retaining to accounts and other aspects. I'm currently working on the Veeam Side of things and doing some recon so I can build a report. I'm having problems locating what credentials any/all of our proxy servers are using. I was wondering if anyone knew how to find this information? Also I was wondering if these users needed to be in the Veeam account management and what access they need? Sorry if these questions are a little basic, I have never used Veeam before this.

Thanks for the help,
John

Hello John,

Just to make sure we are on the same page - would like to know what account is used to run Veeam proxy services in your VI? You can check that by using services MMC snap-in.

On top of that, if you want to export all connection account settings and then change them (if required), I would suggest using this tip.

Thank you!
