hi to all.
I wonder if we can survive without the veeam server itself from a disastery with only repositories available?
lets assueme that the veeam server with db role inside that server ,and we do have backups and backup copies with different repositories.
can we restore from a disastery after we loose the veeam server ?
only remaining left with the repositories.
for example, install a new veeam server, attach the repository and import what is inside that repo?
Thanks

Re: Lost veeam server (db inside the veeam server)
Hi Orcun
Correct. The database is not required for a restore. You can follow Hannes blog:
https://www.veeam.com/blog/restoring-in ... html?amp=1
You can also install a new backup server and import a configuration backup. This will restore the entire backup server configuration to a new backup server.
Make sure to write the configuration backup to the repository server.
Best,
Fabian

Re: Lost veeam server (db inside the veeam server)
Thanks Fabian for the fast response,
i had a quick look at your link(https://www.veeam.com/blog/restoring-in ... html?amp=1)
ı seems ok ,restoring only with the repository ,but i wonder if its same as immutable backups?
most of the time ,i create first backup as immutable and then copied it to a secondary location with a backup copy job?
Does this same procedure still valid for the copied immutable files repositorys (i mean second repository)
thnaks
