Malware detection for Centos Stream 9 fails
Malware detection for Centos Stream 9 fails because it tries to open a .zip file instead of a .tar.gz file when it analyzes the index data. The response I got from the helpdesk is that one of the most popular Linux distros was dropped at version 7. The fix is simple, for some reason the Veeam Malware Detection Feature cannot tell the difference between a Linux VM and a Windows VM. That should be considered a bug and not "unsupported". The Veeam Front end does actually identify the machine as Linux and even properly creates the index. It's the malware module that is dropping the ball.
