Manage Credentials - after v7 upgrade
Hi,
I upgrade my staging environment from 6.5 patch 3 to v7 today.
When i click on "Manage credentials" i can see many accounts "set by automated upgrade".
Nevertheless, i can't delete those accounts...
They are linked to some "Host Objects" but those server don't exist anymore ( Old infrastructure ).
=> "Unable to delete credentials XXXXXXX because they are currently in use. See details for more info"
Host Type -> vcenter server
How to find those "Zombie Hosts" in order to do a proper clean-up.
Thanks

If you are unable to remove those obsolete objects from the Veeam B&R console, I believe support will be able to assist you in this, please contact them directly.

Have you heard back from support already? They should be able to help you to cleanup the database.

Hi,
First replay from support:
1) backup VeeamBackup Database
2) DELETE [VeeamBackup].[dbo].[Credentials] WHERE description = 'REPLACE_IT_WITH_YOUR_DESCRIPTION'
I wait 2nd replay from Support for delete the old vcenter server.

I'm trying to delete old user credentials, but you receive a message that the credentials used by the server. I have verified that this server is not in the program settings.

As suggested, you can contact technical support for help in removing credentials from the database. Currently there are no known issues regarding this, however I've asked QC to keep this in mind.
