Hi.
Is it possible to use a managed service account for application aware backups?
The service account will use AD to change the backup every 30 days.
And if so - how can I enable this i Veeam.

I do not know if I understand it correctly.
Do you want to change the password of the service account regularly?
Anyway you can control the password and account used for guest processing with our Powershell SDK.
Some banks use it to create a unique service account per VM and change password every week with an account management software outside of Veeam. This system use powershell to create and update the accounts and passwords.
Is this what you are looking for?

Are you talking about sMSA and gMSA accounts in active directory?
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/window ... s-overview
Last time I checked, Veeam did not support the use of Group MSAs.

Hi Steve,
this is not what I meant.
You can use whatever tool you like to update the Veeam Passwords (and or accounts) used for Guest Processing an others by PowerShell.

If you have a third party manager, that update passwords regular, you can write the password as well to Veeam.
