All, we're kind of in a critical situation here where our storage repo (ceph) is in the process of collapsing with it being both too full natively and also via PG/OSD placement to add additional storage (due to rebalancing constraints).
We have a requirement to go in and manually remove old chains not attatched to GFS points across our storage sobr/teancy (direct placement). (Our system had multiple outages on several different weekends across the last month preventing client retention to run). This leaves us with multiple clients having up to 40 recovery points despite being configured for 14 (they also have no gfs configured in this case).
Is there a better way than opening up the few VBR's in the client side and VSPC portal and manually cross referencing their retention settings, job names and file dates? Unfortunately we have to act quicker than when retention can natively run here in order to keep backup infrastructure operational for everyone.
I know there's a script at least for forgetting orphaned or missing restore points (here https://www.veeam.com/kb3187) but we need to find a less painstaking way to look across 100 different cloud connect tenants and half a dozen repos
Any thoughts?
