Question regarding marking a restore point as infected in Veeam:
example:
I have 7 restore points, from Day 1 through Day 7.
malware is detected in the incremental backup of Day 5 before the Day 6 incremental backup begins, and assume that Days 1 through 4 are not infected.
After marking the Day 5 restore point as infected in the Veeam console, what happens when the Day 6 backup job start? Will the backup chain be created using the Day 4 incremental backup? or will it begin with a new full backup?
thanks

Re: marking a restore point as infected in Veeam
Hi Danh3,
Neither; marking the backup as infected won't start an active full, the Restore Point will just be marked as infected until you mark it as clean again. The actual backup chain itself won't be altered/changed, and no unexpected full backups.
