Match the summary log disk # to the actual disk?

Post by rntguy »

In the VBR console you can view some basic log info for each job and it's history. It says "Hard Disk 1" and then shows the size and backed up amount.

If the size of multiple drives are the same how do you match up which one it's referring to? One of our drives is backing up a lot of data and we don't know which on it's referring to.

If you point me to a log file please tell me if it's on the client drive or the backup server drive and which file. Thanks much! :) :)

Not sure if it matters, but I'm seeing this "Hard Disk 1" or 2 or 3, etc in the copy job log summary in the GUI. I hope that matches the same #'s in the backup job summary.

You can match hard disks from the job session log to the actual VMDK files using the task log file (Task***.log).
