Hi.
Which servers are used when the merge part of a backup job is running?
Is the proxys involved or is it only Veeam backup and recovery server?
The issue is that we have proxy servers at a customer site and the link is taken down before the merge job is finished.
The storage is located at our dataroom.
Will the merge fail?

Re: Merge job after backup
Hi Tore,
The merge process is performed on the backup repository server(target side). Proxy is not involved in this job.
Hence the merge will not fail after disconnecting from the proxy server.
BR,
Alex

Re: Merge job after backup
Unless the target data mover is installed on the proxy server (could be, for ex., in case of CIFS repository with proxy explicitly specified as a gateway), which would be wrong setup, so I'm sure it is not the case.
