Hi All,

By default Azure ID log retention varies by license: Entra ID P1 retains logs for 30 days, P2 for 90 days, and free for only 7 days.

When backing up the Logs using the newly released VBR 12.3, I got this error:

Microsoft Entra ID log backup functionality is not available in your Veeam Data Platform edition.

Which Edition allows me to backup the Entra ID Logs?

How the license is calculated.

Hi Albert,

Log backup is part of the Advanced and Premium Edition.
Besides this requirement, you don't need to license the logs; only the Entra ID users are counted.

Regarding the licenses for Entra ID itself, you need a P1 or P2 level license for backing up sign-in logs.
