Migrate Socket License to VUL

Post by redhorse »

Hello,

we have currently 6 perpetual socket licenses for the Enterprise edition. As we need further socket licenses for relatively few VMs, we consider to change the licensing to VUL as this is apparently the standard license model.

Now, how are the current socket licenses are converterted to VUL? I've read something about a ratio of 7 and of 15? And how are the needed VULs are calculated? Just each VMs which are currently covert by the socket licenses?

As my current licesnes are perpetual, are the VULs still a kind of perpetual, or are they automatically converted to subscription and I lose somehow my ownership?

Thanks
