Migrate Veeam DB from SQL Express to remote SQL 2008

I have read the existing threads regarding this topic but am unsure on 1 point. If I backup and restore the local DB to a remote server, how do I change the Veeam settings to point to the remote SQL server. Would I have to uninstall the application and reinstall the application ?

You need to change these registry settings and restart the B&R service:

HKLM\Software\VeeaM\Veeam Backup and Replication\SqlInstanceName
HKLM\Software\VeeaM\Veeam Backup and Replication\SqlDatabaseName
