Migrate VeeamZIP jobs to another repo

Post by kirst.mcleod »

Hello,

We have a number of VEEAMZip jobs that we would like to move from their current repo to a new one that has been purposely created just to host VEEAMZip jobs. Is there a process to allow this to be done?

Thanks,
Kirst

Hello,
as VeeamZip are one-time actions (not classic jobs), the only thing you need to do is "copy & paste" with whatever tool you like (Windows explorer, robocopy etc.).

Best regards,

Hello Hannes!
While it works just as you described, the Backups will no longer be listed under VeeamZIP, but instead under Backups (imported). Also, the (optional) Deletion Date of VeeamZIP Backups is lost upon that action.

Hello,
actually, import is needed (rescan does not work because there is no .vbm file. I removed the "rescan" from my old post right after I posted, but probably before you answered :-)). Then the backup show up in "VeeamZIP" with _imported suffix.

Correct, the deletion date is lost.

Best regards,
Hannes
