Migrated Veeam to new server, not seeing all backups

Post by matai »

We just migrated Veeam to a new server. We took a configuration backup and restored without any errors.

When I go to restore a VM or file for testing, not all the VM backups are there. Did I miss something?

We did the backup and restore a few times now just to be sure.

Thanks

Is there any correlation on what backup files are missing? Do you have all repository servers present in the new server? Have you tried to rescan the repositories?

Last week we rebuilt all our backup jobs. None of those ones are showing up.

Right now I'm going through the Edit Backup Repository settings, should I try importing from there?

Hmm...what is the date of the configuration backup file you import?

Do you have these new backup jobs in the UI? Try to rescan the repositories to populate Veeam console with backup files.

Could this be a licensing issue? We haven't revoked the license on the old Veeam Administration server.

I doubt that, as license keys are not required to create jobs/transfer config data to the new backup server. What about my previous post? Do you see new jobs in the UI?

Sorry, yes the backup jobs show up in the UI and it seems like they work. I'm just not seeing the stored backup jobs for those. We still have the old Veeam Admin server running until we work this out.

Do you have old server running these jobs? Also you run these jobs from the new server? Also since you see these jobs and backups are present in the repository, this could be a UI glitch. Please investigate this with our support team. Thanks!
