Migrating backup to a different share

Post by rosmith42 »

We use Exagrid as our backup space.

Already migrated the existing backup chain to a new share in Exagrid however, will need to add a new repository on the Veeam side.
Would like to take advantage of using the "Exagrid Veeam Accelerator Mover" setup instead of using our current CIFS share.
The question is will a new full backup be required? Can this be converted as I do not want to run another full backup as it will consume the remaining disk space.

Any insight on this matter would greatly be appreciated.

Create the Exagrid-type repository pointing to the new location, rescan it and re-point your jobs to it, mapping them to existing backups.
