Move Data to REFS?

Post by kspare »

We are currently running with centos repositorys back to our NFS storage servers, we are wondering if we can move backup jobs and backup copy jobs from the nfs storage over to REFS storage, or should we just create new backups and backup copy jobs?

Yes, you can re-point your existing jobs to the new backup repository, having moved your backup files there manually first of course. Thanks!

Thanks!

I assume this wouldn't include any fast cloning, but would eventually migrate to fast cloning as the older RI's expire and new ones are created?

Correct, once you've moved backups, you will need to run either active or compact full to enable fast clone. Thanks!
