hi everyone,
I've got one job with a lot of VM's, to ReFS using Block Clone.
the repo is using per-vm backup files.
I wish to split the job in two.
to do so, I would normally move the backup files of some of the VM's to another folder, rescan the repository and map the new job to this.
(and of course remove those vm's from the existing job's selection)
However, how can I do this without losing the block cloning ability, and without duplicating the blocks?
it's my understanding that if I move the files using windows explorer, I'll lose the above ...
thanks,
Quentin

Re: Move Fast-Cloned per-vm files to split job: retaining bl
Hi,
If the folder where you're going to move the chain to is on the very same ReFS volume then you can just move files, they won't inflate.
Thanks
