Move Problem VM to its own Replica Job - "Delete From Disk"

Post by J1mbo »

Hi, I've a problem VM (CBT keeps messing up) so I want to move it to its own REPLICA job.

It has been removed from the replica job it was in for a while, but it Veeam doesn't seem to clean down the target in this instance, i.e. the _replica VM is still in the target vCentre, and appears under the Replicas view in the Veeam B&R console.

So the question is how to clear this up. I would like to clarify exactly what "Delete From Disk" does (from the context menu in Veeam B&R, Backup & Replication -> Replica's view). Very clearly, I do not want to delete the VM from the production environmnent!

Many thanks indeed.

Hi James. This menu item affects replica VM only. Our product never touches source (production) VM, basically production is read-only from our perspective (aside of snapshot management). Thanks.

Thanks very much for the clarification. "Delete" is a word I'm quite wary of!
