Move Veeam Backup and Replication Community Edition to new PC

Hi guys!
Sorry is this has been asked before:
At the moment "Veeam Backup and Replication Community Edition" runs on an old server that I want to retire soon.
I already have a new PC as a successor with "Veeam Backup and Replication Community Edition" installed as well but not configured.
I want to "move/copy/import" all jobs and repositories (backups) from the old server to the new one, what would be the the best way to do that?
(Repositories and Jobs are all local on the old server).

Hi

Welcome to the forum.
Recommended way is to use configuration backup restore for the migration of the configuration. Please follow the steps in our user guide:

Backup files can be moved manually or after the configuration migration with our new VeeaMover functionality in V12 (recommended if you use reFS as your repository filesystem).

Yes, moving and copying backup files is not available in our CE:

Backup files can be moved manually ...

That means that I just need to copy everything inside of the "Veeam Repository" folder on the "old" installation to the "Veeam Repository" folder on the new installation, right?

Yes. But you will loose any Fast-Clone benefits if you use File Explorer to migrate them. But from reading your topic (PC as a backup server), I assume you don't have used reFS filesystem for your backup repository.

You should move this local repository to the same folder path on the new server as they were on the old one.
In case the backup server won't see the migrated backup files, you can add the new location as a new repository, rescan it and map the backup jobs to the migrated backup files.
