Move Veeam backups from one repository to another repository with Fiber Channel

Post by JChen522 »

We currently have Veeam B&R 11 doing backups via Fiber Channel. Originally, we had all the all backup jobs going to one repository HPE StoreOnce Catalyst store. We later bought a 2nd StoreOnce and cloned and disabled the old jobs. We then changed repositories of the cloned jobs to the new store. After a while, our 1st HPE StoreOnce hard drives started showing issues and we want to move/copy all the backup data to the 2nd StoreOnce. Question, is it possible to copy/move existing backup data to the another repository with existing backup data? If so how via FC?

Hi Jimmy

Have you tried a Catalyst Backup Copy Job to replicate the restore points to a new Catalyst Store on the second StoreOnce appliance?
Another option you can use is our Copy/Move Backup feature, but it will copy all backup chains through the Gateway Server.
