Move Veeam Setting

Post by jbrullemans »

Hi

I need to install veeam on a different server. Is there anyway how i can move the virtual lab settings to the new server? I can recreate the backup jobs that is not a big problem. If you cannot export the virtual lab settings what will be another good option. Create a new virtual an manually take over the settings? what will then happen in vspere will i see two vitual labs because that is not what i would like to see.

Hi John,

Yes, you can click on the virtual labs node and choose any existing virtual lab (by clicking Connect virtual lab..) in order to add it to the backup console.

On top of that, you can move all backup server settings (backup jobs, labs, etc.) by migrating its SQL configuration database to the new server, please search these forums for the proper instructions on how to do it.

Thanks.
