Move Veeam to another server

Hi guys,

I ran into an issue with my current backup server and was trying to restore/migrate to another server i recently setup. I followed the KB article on how to do this but ran into an issue with the actual restore of the configuration file. When trying to analyze the file for restore i get an error message "Configuration backup file has unsupported version or corrupted contents" and won't go any further. I have tried several different files. The backup servers are running the same version of Veeam...any ideas or did i miss something? I did open a case with support case # 02948389

I was able to resolve. I tried a backup to a different repository and was able to peform the configuration restore. Thanks!

He backed configuration up to a different place (different repository), then, he tried to restore it and the process went successfully. Thanks.

Ah I see, that's not going to help me as my backup server has died

And configuration restore failed, right?

If I were you, I would open a ticket with our support team and ask them for assistance.
