When moving immutable backups, the moved backups remain under "Orphaned" until they have expired.
Feature request/improvement suggestion: Delete moved backups as soon as the immutability period has passed. They should not remain to age out according to retention, since the one thing preventing them to be deleted in the first place was the immutability period.

Re: Moved immutable backups should be deleted quicker
Hi Daniel
Thank you for the request.
That would only work for daily backups. But GFS backups stay immutable for their entire retention period.
May I ask, is your daily retention normally much higher than the immutability period?
Best,
Fabian

Re: Moved immutable backups should be deleted quicker
It is not unusual to have daily backups with considerably longer retention than the immutability period. If the immutability period was a property of each backup chain, rather than of the whole repository, this wouldn't be the case. But that is another request.
In any case, it should only be natural to delete moved data as soon as possible. Why keep them around and require manual cleanup?
