Moving Backups manually from Backup Rep. to SOBR
Hi all,
I have a problem and did not not find a solution yet (and maybe there is no).
I have a Backup Copy Job copying to a normal Repository on CIFS.
I needed to move this Backups to NetApp LUN(s). As it is more than 16TB Data, I built a SOBR out of 2 LUNs.
There was no option of using Copy Function Veeam etc. because there is not enough temporary space on the storage.
So I copied a few Backup Files everyday, distributed to the 2 extents.
When I am now using the import function of Veeam with the old Config files it runs successful. But I can see in the property's of the import, the backup files laying on the other extent are not seen by Veeam.
Is there any way to solve this problem?
Thanks,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,
Did you run the rescan of the SOBR prior the import operation? Thanks!

You've mentioned some old Config files for import, can you clarify which files are you referring to?
Also, have you copied the metadata file with extension .vbm?

The config file (*.vbm) is from the old folder in the Single CIFS Backup Repository.

That's unexpected behavior, you should see all the files after importing backups.
