since the begin of 2016 MS SQL supports TLS 1.2 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3135244), is there any possibility that veeam is able to backup a MS SQL 2014 Databases with activated TLS 1.2?
To force MS SQL Server 2014 to use TLS 1.2 I have to deactivate SSL 3.0. if I do so the veeam backup for all databases of this server fails:
i have updated the sql native client (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=50402) on the backupserver with no success. also the backupserver runs with a MS SQL Express 2014 SP1 like the server want to backup. as long as i don't deactivate SSL 3.0 every thing is fine.Skipping MSSQLSERVER\database: connection error: Code = 0x80004005 Code meaning = unkown error Source = Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server Description = [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (SECCreateCredentials()).]SSL security error. COM error: Code: 0x80004005
it seems to me that veeam only supports SSL 3.0 for database-connections. Has any one expirience with this issue?
Thanks
