We needed four virtual hosts for our configuration. Of course VShpere Essentials only licenses three hosts so we acquired a second VSphere Essentials license.
We also purchased four (sets of two-socket) B&R licenses. In our Second VSphere group we plan to run one VM host and also our replication target.
Question, is there any Veeam B&R restriction that will prevent us from replicating from our VSphere-Group-One hosts to our VSphere-Group-Two target?

Re: Multiple VShpere Essential groups possible?
Kelly, Veeam requires licences for source hosts only. In other words, as soon as you have enough licences to cover all your source hosts in vSphere Group One, all your backup/replication jobs should be running successfully. Thanks!

So to confirm, no problem replicating from one VSphere Essentials server group to another? Just trying to get this straight before moving too far forward.

That's correct, you need to have VMware paid license (in your case this is vSphere Essentials) for the source hosts to run the jobs, it doesn't matter what license you have on your target hosts, though ESX(i) free is still not supported.

Thanks much Vitaliy. We'll proceed slowly till we get our heads around our new virtual environment.
